I never made my own salad dressing before I became vegan. And while there are several on the market that don't contain animal products, you would probably be surprised just how many do, even after removing all those labeled creamy or ranch from the running.
Nothing could be simpler than making your own dressing. With just a few ingredients and five minutes, you have something fresher and tastier than anything that could come from a bottle.
Today's version is Basic Vinaigrette from Bryant Terry's Vegan Soul Kitchen. Mellow would be the operative word for this dressing. Here it is aside my lazy afternoon salad. And yes, those are vegan bacon bits!
